WHAT DID OUR CLIENT HAVE IN MIND?
This client had their heart set on Sicily and called on Creative Star to come up with an incentive travel programme. The criteria? A short, but awe-inspiring trip with gastronomy in the starring role. For Creative Star, Sicily’s role as the backdrop for the renowned Godfather trilogy, the films about the infamous Corleone mafia family, was a welcome starting point. Drawing on the element of surprise, the team pulled out all the stops. The outcome? The group were literally invited to be guests of the one and only Corleone family!
The solution
WHAT WAS CREATIVE STAR’S STRATEGY?
Still reminiscing about the night before, the group set out the next day for Motta Camastra, where they were greeted in true southern Italian style. Even the local brass band was there to provide a warm welcome. Gastronomically speaking, the group’s taste buds were in for a treat once again, this time with a sumptuous culinary dinner at a 2-star Michelin restaurant. And day three of this incentive trip had even more gastronomic delights in store. After polishing off a delectable lunch, it was time for a tasting at a local vineyard overlooking Mount Etna. To say arrivederci, the group raised a glass of delicious refreshing prosecco, where the panoramic view of Mount Etna’s flanks was almost as impressive a sensory delight.
